The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) has shared the latest news that Malaysians who wish to renew their passports can do so online in six steps.
1. Visit the MyOnline Passport Portal
The MyOnline Passport service portal can then be accessed here. 2.
2. Fill in the application information
Applicants must fill in all the required information on the online application system.
3. Upload a picture
Applicants should upload a passport size photo to the portal. The uploaded photo should meet the necessary specifications.
Ensure that the blue circle covers the face and the yellow circle touches the applicant’s cheek.
4. Online Payment
Applicants will then pay online via credit card, direct debit (FPX) or online banking.
5. Access to the System of Reservation Online (STO) portal
After completing the above steps, applicants must make an appointment online through the STO link provided in the MyOnline Passport application status notification.
After applying on STO, applicants must visit the collection office to have their fingerprints taken. Passports will be processed on the same day.
6. Passport Collection
Applicants are required to bring the necessary documents when visiting the selected passport issuing office.
